Yoga Mahotsav’2020 – A Curtain Raiser for International Day of Yoga

Yoga Mahotsav has been organized by MDNIY since 2016 as a curtain raiser for International Day of Yoga (IDY). This year too, MDNIY is organizing another Yoga Mahotsav 2020 from March 12-14 at Talktora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi. Also, MDNIY is organizing Post Mahotsav Workshops by eminent Yoga masters on March 15, 2020 at Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, New Delh and it’s collaborating centres.

The main motive of this Mahotsav is to sensitize the masses regarding celebration of International Day of Yoga.

It gives me immense pleasure to extend a hearty welcome to all Hon’ble Dignitaries, Eminent Yoga Masters, Experts of AYUSH, Modern Medicine and Allied Sciences, Delegates, Yoga Enthusiasts, Students and the well wishers of the Institutes participating and contributing for the success of Yoga Mahotsav – 2020, a curtain raiser for International Day of Yoga, 2020.
I am sure that Yoga workshops, discourses, discussions and interactions among the experts and Yoga enthusiasts from diverse fields will provide deeper insights and add a new dimensions to the existing knowledge of Yoga.

  • Lectures / Special Yoga Techniques / Yoga Demo by Yoga Masters
  • Yoga Demo by students and Yoga Masters of leading Yoga Institutions
  • Quiz and Elocution Competitions
  • Best Paper Presentation Competition
  • Poster Presentation Competition
  • Photo Exhibition by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India
  • A half day Seminar on Life Sketch and Contributions of Swami Kuvalayananda, founder of Kaivalyadhama, for the promotion and developments of Yoga

Various Yoga Competitions

  • Yoga Quiz Competition – 13-3-2020 (10:00am-1:30pm)
    ELIGIBILITY- Those who are studying in Institutes, Colleges and Universities (Except Research Scholars)
    PRIZE – Ist Prize (Rs. 25,000/-), IInd Prize (Rs. 15,000/-)
  • Elocution on Yoga for Youth – 13-3-2020 (02:30pm-04:00pm)
    ELIGIBILITY- Those who are studying in Institutes, Colleges and Universities (Except Research Scholars)
    PRIZE – Ist Prize (Rs. 25,000/-), IInd Prize (Rs. 15,000/-)
  • Best Paper Presentation on Yoga as a Way of Life – 13-3-2020 (02:30pm-04:00pm)
    ELIGIBILITY- A Research Scholar or a Student of any stream
    PRIZE – Ist Prize (Rs. 25,000/-), IInd Prize (Rs. 15,000/-)
  • Poster Presentation on Yoga for High Altitude – 13-3-2020 (02:30pm-04:00pm)ELIGIBILITY- Those who are studying in Institutes, Colleges & Universities including Research Scholars.
    PRIZE – Ist Prize (Rs. 25,000/-), IInd Prize (Rs. 15,000/-)

    IMPORTANT NOTES :
    – Interested Colleges / Universities / Institutes may participate in each competition with their maximum two students from the age group of 16-35 years only.
    – Nominations must reach the Institute latest by 10th March, 2020 in writing from the Schools or Universities supported by their Principals/Director/Heads of Institutions. Later entries will not be entertained.
    – Only Registered candidates will be allowed to participate in the above said programmes.

    – The decision of Director/ the competent authority of MDNIY shall be final in all the matter related to competitions.
